Are you a first time visitor?

If this is the first time to our office, here is what you can expect
Upon your first visit to our office, you will have an initial evaluation and there will be a few forms to fill out, but on your first day, we want to mainly address the pain you are experiencing. Anything we can do to reduce your pain level immediately will be our first priority; focusing on your safety and keeping your long term goals in mind.
After your first visit, we will also provide you with a list of exercises and stretches you can do at home that will help your body achieve a state of optimum health. This will happen over time, of course, but simply making your first appointment is a step in the right direction.
Follow-up treatments and check-ups
After your first visit, you may feel additional pains or aches that you didn’t experience before, which is good, because your body is adjusting back to its natural position. Your muscles will need time to adjust and in some cases, old injuries may begin to hurt again. These are all positive signs that your body is working with the treatments and beginning the healing process.
In most cases, we will schedule an immediate follow up treatment to continue the healing process. In other cases, we may only need to see you once, or may schedule your appointment for the following week. In any case, once your body is re-aligned and your body has adjusted, you should be pain free and the treatments will no longer be necessary.
Getting x-rays and other tests before treatments
Our office strongly believes in using technology to best treat and diagnose any back problems, but your safety always comes first. X-rays can be very helpful in diagnosing a back problem, but over exposure to the radiation associated with x-rays can be bad for your body. This is why we limit the number of x-rays our patients are exposed to and only use x-rays when we feel it is necessary to diagnose the problem.
Other diagnosis tools are used, which pose no health risks to our patients, such as ultrasounds, muscle heat scanners, and movement and range sensors. This technology can be used to help diagnose back problems, as well as track the recovery. As always, your health and safety will be our number one concern.
